Administrative positions have varied duties from middle management, supervising case managers, counselors, night attendants, or office staff, to senior positions managing the company. Usually B.S. degrees are required for these positions and M.S. preferred, with A/D experience highly valued.
Counsels and aids individuals and families requiring assistance with substance abuse problems, such as alcohol and drug abuse, by performing essentials duties listed as well as other duties:
Interviews clients, reviews records, and confers with other professionals to evaluate condition of client. Counsels clients individually and in group sessions to assist client in overcoming alcohol and drug dependency, including didactic lectures, as scheduled. Counsels family members, as available, to assist family in dealing with and providing support for client. Formulates and conducts programs that promote prevention of alcohol and drug abuse. Other duties and essential functions are included.
As a member of the case management team, assesses the needs of the Homeless clients and coordinates community resources to assist clients in obtaining permanent housing as well as employment and other needs.
As a member of the multidisciplinary team, provides patient care and monitors the operation of the facility evenings, nights and weekends, by performing various duties.
Prepares soups, meats, vegetables, salads, dressings, and desserts for consumption in facility cafeteria by performing the following duties. Follows diet manual, demonstrating accuracy in weighing, measuring, and portioning food. Inspects equipment for cleanliness and functional operation. Demonstrates ability to operate all equipment in the dietary department. Performs cooking duties with other dietary workers.
Interviews incoming patient and enters information required for admission into the patient record; completes appropriate forms for insurance pre-certification, and many other clerical tasks within the department. Orients new admissions to physical environment, facility/program rules and regulations, and their assigned Primary Counselor. Complete admission letters and mail to appropriate individuals (referral sources, P.O.'s, etc.). Complete financial information and give to appropriate front office staff member. Perform File Clerk essential duties as needed, depending upon admission schedule.
Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. Takes and delivers messages when appropriate personnel are unavailable. Completes preadmission forms on perspective clients and routes information to Admission Coordinator. Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other pertinent information, as needed. Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel. Monitors visitor access to facility.
Provides physical health services and first aid to clients or persons who become ill or injured on premises of treatment facility by performing the following duties. Maintains record of persons treated, and prepares accident reports. Develops employee and client education based programs such as health, accident prevention, STD's, universal precautions, infection control and first-aid.
Prepares residential clients to be seen by the Doctor for physical examination on admission. Completes client medical history to be added to the clinical record. Performs tuberculosis testing on all clients at time of admission and employees in Hohenwald and Lewisburg sites; makes appropriate referrals for any individuals exhibiting S/S of TB or presenting with + TB test.
Is responsible for the follow-up and documentation of medical information into the client's clinical record.
Drives vehicle from individual or central loading area to social services or rehabilitation center, training location, job site, or other destination according to assigned schedule. Completes pre-departure safety check on vehicle driven that includes: checking oil, water and gasoline levels; wear on tires; lights, wipers and heat/air in working order. Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories, and notifies supervisor of needed repairs. Assists in maintaining a clean, neat and safe vehicle for transporting
Assists the maintenance supervisor in providing for maintenance needs for all Buffalo Valley, Inc. sites of operation. Other duties may apply.
